Leanne has enjoyed an impressive media career over the past few years, having been consulted by countless print and online publications; as an expert on wellbeing, relationships, and parenting. She has worked on a number of TV programs; including The Living Room and Studio 10 (Network Ten), House of Wellness, The Morning Show (Network Seven), and as Therapist and Relationship Expert on Bride & Prejudice (Network Seven). Leanne also published her first book in 2017: Head First Health Fast. The Smart Approach to Outwitting Body Issues and Achieving Sustainable Health.

In addition to TV, Leanne as also featured in several Podcasts; Unstoppable with Kerwin Rae, Think Fit with Tim Ford and Mike Robinson, in addition to a Podcast series with Osher Günsberg called Love Life produced by Mamamia.

She has a unique ability to break down complex and relevant issues with a warmth, sensitivity, and at times humour, that connects her with her audience. For this reason, Leanne is a sought after presenter and speaker for corporate events, schools, non-profit organisations, and educational conferences.

Therapist / Consulting

Leanne’s career as a Psychologist and Therapist spans nearly 25 years. With an extensive background working with teenagers and families; Leanne has a passion for helping people work through the modern day challenges of life and relationships. Her approach as a Therapist is influenced by sociology, feminism, as well as systemic family therapy, narrative therapy and emotion focussed therapy. Leanne holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney, where she is researched new and embodied ways for ultra-runners to overcome injury. Combined with her own passion for endurance running, Leanne applies many of these principles in helping people navigate and “endure” the challenges in everyday life and relationships.

Leanne has a special interest in the mind-body connection. In 2017 she published her first book; Head First, Health Fast, the smart approach to outwitting body issues and achieving sustainable health. In her book, she shows readers how to achieve and maintain a healthy weight by developing an eating and exercise program that’s sustainable long term.

Leanne is often cited in the media as an expert in mental health, weight loss, fitness and body image. She writes for various online and print publications and is currently completing a PhD at Sydney University.
